On June 6, after Elon Musk and Trump publicly argued, a senior Russian lawmaker jokingly said earlier today that Russia might offer political asylum to Musk. "If he indeed (needs asylum), of course, Russia can provide it," said Dmitry Novikov, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma responsible for international affairs. Kremlin spokesman Peskov earlier stated in a call with reporters that this dispute is an internal matter for the United States, and the Kremlin believes Trump "will handle the situation himself."
