Recently, news regarding Digital Money Renminbi has sparked widespread follow. The Digital Currency Research Institute of the People's Bank of China responded, stating that the DC/EP related information circulating online is merely testing content from the technical development process and does not represent that Digital Money Renminbi has been officially issued. The institute emphasized that the ongoing closed testing will not impact the commercial operations of listed institutions, nor will it affect the Renminbi issuance and circulation system, financial markets, and overall economy outside of the testing environment.

It is reported that the research and development of the Digital Renminbi is progressing steadily. Under the basic principles of maintaining dual-layer operation, M0 replacement, and controllable anonymity, the Digital Renminbi system has basically completed key links such as top-level design, standard formulation, function development, and joint debugging. The project development follows the principles of stability, safety, controllability, innovation, and practicality, and is currently conducting internal closed pilot tests in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiong'an New Area, Chengdu, and future Winter Olympic venues. These tests aim to continuously improve and optimize the functions of the Digital Renminbi to make full preparations for possible comprehensive promotion in the future.
